I'm slightly more active on deviantArt and MywasteofSpace. Mainly deviantart....

Work's been the same; hopefully they start moving in the studio by this coming wednesday.
school is ok
i'm going as a nurse for halloween.

8D at about this hour, Father Miguel Hidalgo made a call to arms up in his belltower, denouncing the Spanish rulers. He had made plans to rebel anyway, but the Spanish were catching on. From here, he gained support and eventually a rebel army was formed and fought the Spanish. He was killed before realizing his dream of a free Mexico, but 11 years later in 1821, Mexico was finally an independent country.

What this links to is 45 minutes of the most mindboggling documentary i've seen recently. It follows a British reporter doing a report about Prussian Blue, the notorious duet famed for being a favorite of white supremasists. The girls, Lynx and Lamb (i'm not kidding), are managed by their mother. However, after delving deep past the cries of white pride and nationalism, the viewer is left to decide whether the girls really want this.

In my opinion, there is a fine line between pride and hate. Pride is saying "I am proud of my heritage". Hate is "i am proud of my heritage but i don't like these people because they aren't like me and i'm better than they are". I can be proud of being Mexican, but I won't use it to put down other people.

Anyway, these girls might have a sense of pride being white, but their mother whips them on to ultimately voice her racist ideas. As soon as people learn of the girls' background, they shun them. after a while, it seems that they just want to be normal.

Some of the most disturbing parts of the film was their mother talking on speakerphone with David Lane, a white supremacist serving jailtime in a maximum security prison. He commented on how cute the girls were - "like daughters" - but then he said something like "but now that they're becoming women and i'm a man...hee hee".....gross. The other was their own mother calling one of them a c**t. Even if my daughter acted up, I would never call her that.

It's so sad how a person could manipulate people to voice their own politics, and even worse, with their own children. Their mother claims to be voicing what people are "afraid" to, but in the end, she is just as bad as a skinhead punk.

I mananged to develop one roll of film that I took while I was at Mexico. I've selected a few to share.

This is me with my cousin's pet squirrel at my aunt's house near Coahuayana, Michoacan. It is very humid and ther were lots of house geckos.

Blind dog that lives with my aunt. He jumps in the air and gives kisses, but he has no eyes.

El Real beach near Tecoman, Colima. There were red flags, so all I got to do was stick my feet in.

Outdoor restaurant at the El Real beach near Tecoman, Colima. Very good fried fish, and not to mention a swimming pool nearby :) Just watch for wandering crabs.

My grandma's house. Waaay over there is my mom >:3. She is walking away from the washing pillar. My grandma has a little rickety washing machine, but she still prefers to do it over at the pillar.
